Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired Work of God, infallible and inherent in its original manuscripts, and is our only rule for faith and practice. We believe that the Holy Bible consists of exactly 66 books, 39 from the Old Testament and 27 from the New Testament.

All scripture references are taken from the King James Version.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine for reproof, for correction and for instruction in righteousness"

The Godhead

We believe in the One true and Living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. "
Matthew 28:19

"Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied."
1 Peter 1:2

The Person of Jesus

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.
(John 1:1-2, John 1:14, Luke 1:35, Isaiah 9:6, 7:14, Philippians 2:5-8)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice, and that our justification is made sure by his literal, physical resurrection from the dead.
(Romans 3:23-25, 1 Peter 1:3-5, 2:24, Ephesians 1:7)

That the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the offices of Representative, Intercessor and Advocate.
(Acts 1:9-10, Hebrews 9:24, 7:25, Romans 8:34 and 1 John 2:1-2)

"For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God send not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
John 3:16-17

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, and that He is the supernatural agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. We believe the evidence of the Spirit filled life is the "fruit of the Spirit" as indicated in Galatians chapter 5. (John 16:8-11, Ephesians 1:13-14, Romans 8:9-11, 1 Corinthians 12:13)

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23

Total Depravity of Man

We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin, the race fell, inherited a sinful nature and became alienated from God; that man himself is unable to remedy his lost condition.
(Genesis 1:26-27, Romans 8:7-8, Ephesians 2:1-3)

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. This salvation is eternal and the permanent possession of every truly Born Again Believer. Redemption is totally an act of God and even the faith to believe is a gift from God.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath sent forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God."
Romans 3:22-25

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."
Ephesians 2:8-9
